Meet the JEE Main 2026 toppers who scored 100 percentile and learn their success strategies

The result of Joint Entrance Examination - Main (JEE Main) January session 2026 was declared on February 16. This year, 12 students scored a perfect 100 percentile and secured their place in the merit list. Their success stories are inspiring thousands of aspirants across the country.

The students who achieved 100 percentile include Shreyas Mishra (Delhi-NCR), Narendrababu Gari Mahith (Andhra Pradesh), Shubham Kumar (Bihar), Kabeer Chhillar (Rajasthan), Chiranjib Kar (Odisha), Bhavesh Patra (Odisha), Anay Jain (Haryana), Arnav Gautam (Rajasthan), Pasala Mohith (Andhra Pradesh), Madhav Viradiya (Maharashtra), Purohit Nimay (Gujarat) and Vivan Sharad Mahiswari (Telangana).

Most of these toppers are students of ALLEN Career Institute, Kota. While their backgrounds are different, their preparation strategies show some common patterns — concept clarity, regular revision, mock tests and disciplined study routines.

Focus on concepts and discipline

Kabeer Chhillar from Rajasthan said he focused on understanding concepts deeply instead of memorising formulas. He divided topics into small parts, prepared short notes and revised regularly. He also worked hard on time management and accuracy. Before the exam, he gave several mock tests and carefully analysed his mistakes. He is now preparing for JEE Advanced with the dream of studying Computer Science at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.

Arnav Gautam from Kota believes that setting a clear goal is very important. He balanced self-study with coaching guidance. According to him, immediate doubt-solving and proper faculty support helped him stay on track. On exam day, he solved Chemistry first, then Physics, and finally Mathematics. He managed his time well and even rechecked his paper. Like Kabeer, he also aims to pursue Computer Science at IIT Bombay.

Shubham Kumar from Bihar scored 295 out of 300. He credited his teachers and family for constant support. He revised class topics on the same day and practised questions daily. He paid special attention to weak areas and turned exam pressure into motivation. His goal is also to secure a top rank in JEE Advanced and join IIT Bombay.

Nimay Purohit from Rajkot, Gujarat, said regular study and concept clarity were the biggest reasons behind his success. He studied for six to eight hours daily and revised everything taught in class. Before the exam, he focused on mock tests and analysed each mistake carefully. He described his result as a moment of great pride and happiness.

Chiranjib Kar, originally from Odisha, said that discipline and consistent practice were key to his success. He maintained a positive mindset and focused on his goals. He regularly revised topics and worked on weak areas. He believes that time management and in-depth understanding are essential for cracking competitive exams.

Hard work and clear goals

Anay Jain from Faridabad scored 291 out of 300. He said his main focus was JEE Advanced, and he prepared for JEE Main only a few days before the exam. He studied for more than 12 hours daily. He practised previous years’ question papers and relied on NCERT books for Chemistry and Physics. His goal is to pursue BTech in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. His parents, both doctors, supported him throughout his preparation.

Bhavesh Patra from Odisha also scored 100 percentile. He said strengthening basic concepts was his top priority. He attended classes regularly and studied coaching materials seriously. According to him, regular tests helped him identify weaknesses and improve them. He is now preparing for JEE Advanced with hopes of joining a prestigious IIT.

A common factor among all toppers is disciplined self-study. Most of them revised daily, practised mock tests and analysed their mistakes carefully. They did not depend only on classroom teaching but took personal responsibility for their preparation.

Another key lesson from these toppers is the importance of time management. Many of them practised solving papers within time limits. They also maintained a positive mindset and did not let pressure affect their confidence.

Most of the students now have their eyes set on JEE Advanced. Their dream is to pursue Computer Science or engineering from top IITs. Their journeys show that success in competitive exams requires clear goals, strong basics, regular practice and consistent effort.

For lakhs of JEE aspirants across India, these toppers serve as role models. Their stories prove that with discipline, focus and the right guidance, achieving a 100 percentile is possible.
